'bold of the forge

That's me! I go by the handle 'Forgebold (short for 'forge kobold') on most places that let you change your username, and have been, since 2015. I'm a network operator by trade, currently residing in the capital region of Iceland, but my hobbies tend on the creative side - my fields of study have primarily been art and graphic design.

What is this site for?

Lots of things! And almost all of them nerdy as fuck. My main things are my projects in worldbuilding, my music work, and my collection log. Aside from that, this website itself is a project unto itself, considering as of writing this (June 2023) it's been online for two years and some change, and is currently going through its first major redesign - most of the code for it was written by me from scratch! And honestly if I think of anything else I want to do for this I can and will just add a section for it. In any case, I hope that if you're reading this you can find something of interest here!

History of kobold in broad strokes

• 1991: Born in an Icelandic fishing town of moderate size, to a music teacher father from England and a locally born and raised mother.
• 1996: Enrolled in piano lessons, which are kept up for the better part of the next decade.
• 2004: Picks up an interest in creating their own fantasy work through exposure to various works.
• 2005: Learns to use ACID, starts making electronic music.
• 2007: Enrolls at junior college majoring in science, intending to take computer science in university further down the line. Gets a deviantART account and gets exposed to the furry fandom.
• 2009: Family moves halfway across the country - local education options do not offer computer science classes, allowed to switch majors to art.
• 2011: Graduates from junior college with a diploma in visual arts. Enrolls at a local arts college's introduction course.
• 2012: Completes the introduction course, enrolls in the same college's graphic design course. Releases an EP as part of their finals work for the intro course.
• 2015: Gets a job in signage fabrication.
• 2016: Moves halfway across the country again, this time to the capital metro area.
• 2021: Gets a job as a network operator at an IT company.
