Even though I've mostly settled into the 'geeky' end of the spectrum since my teens, I've always had a more traditional science nerd streak. It's been somewhat seriously neglected for the most time since that shift in interest but this book is probably the most catering to that side out of anything I've bought in the past decade, which is probably a sorry state of affairs, considering it's been almost a decade. In any case, I do enjoy opening this book once in a while to indulge that side for something a bit more entertaining than a dry Wikipedia dive, which is the usual fare these days.
